It can take between 2-3 weeks (14-21 days) for your creatine levels to drop back to normal, starting from the day you stop taking the creatine supplements.

Creatine is broken down in the body by the kidneys and then passes through your blood and urine. If your kidneys aren't functioning normally then more if it can be found in your blood than in your urine. And, depending on your kidney functionality is what will determine the time frame for your body's natural creatine levels to drop back to normal.

This depends on how long you were taking the creatine supplements and at what dosage, what types of activities you were doing and are currently doing which may burn off excess creatine which is stored in your muscles, and also, what type of body system you have (not all are the same; some use up creatine more than others). Another factor which comes to play in your body's efficiency in expelling and/or using up creatine are your kidneys; kidneys are what processes and creates creatine (along with the help of your liver) and (as with Body System's Type) each one of ours are unique.

As a general rule, however, if you have been taking creatine for a few days, then it should only take a couple of days to completely flush out the excess creatine; if you have been taking the supplements for longer, say 2 months, then it would take approximately one month to clear all extra (including stored) creatine and return levels back to normal.
